You have probably heard of the Westboro Baptist Church (they are infamous for their "God Hates Fags" signs). The BBC recently did a documentary about them. I found the documentary quite disturbing and it is my prayer that people can differentiate this extreme zealotry from the evangelical church.
In the last episode the reporter showed surprising insight when he said that the ministry of Westboro Baptist Church is "human focused rather than God focused." While he might draw different conclusions than I would, I too would see that as a chief problem of this very unfortunate "church."
Below is episode 1, following that is a listing of the other episodes. [Please be aware that some of the language is extreme.]
